This course intended for people seeking to obtain their Delaware Concealed Deadly Weapons License or Delaware Permit to Purchase.
Course Description
This is the Delaware approved Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon/ Permit To Purchase course.
By taking this course, you will meet the necessary requirements of classroom and hands-on instruction for both your Delaware concealed weapons application and your Delaware Permit To Purchase. The students will participate in classroom instruction meeting the Delaware requirements.
Hands on, live-fire training is also a requirement which will include; Range Safety, shooting fundamentals, clearing malfunctions, and 100 round course of fire.

- Safe handling of firearms,
- Proper storage of firearms and ammunition,
- Firearms, ammunition and child safety,
- Firearms shooting fundamentals and maintaining skills competency
- Laws related to firearms
- Laws relating to the use of deadly force for self-defense,
- Mental preparation, and managing conflict and violent situations.
- Proper weapon selection,
- Understand gun owner responsibilities,
- Causes of firearms accidents,
- Suicide Prevention
What to Bring
Firearm and ammunition
- Handgun
- We recommend a semi-automatic but revolvers are also allowed
- We also recommend you bring the firearm you plan to carry
- 100 rounds of ammunition
- A minimum of 2 magazines for semi-automatic and 2 speed loader for revolvers
Equipment
Students will need the below items for class:
- Hearing and Eye Protection
- We recommed soft ears under electronic muffs for the indoor range
- Appropriate range clothing to include a crew neck type shirt
Best Shot has all the above items for sale or rent if needed.
