FFL TRANSFER

An FFL is a Federal Firearms License typically held by gun stores, sporting goods stores, and pawnshops. They are licensed to arrange your firearm transfer for you. A Federal Firearms License Transfer (Also called an FFL Transfer) is necessary when a person wishes to purchase a firearm outside of the state they reside in or from a private individual.

Take the stress out of the purchasing process and let the experts at Best Shot assist you with your firearm transfers from licensed FFL dealers.

We will require a valid form of government issued I.D. upon pick up of all firearm transfer. Only the person whose name is on the transferred item’s paperwork can legally pick up the firearm.

All state or locally required waiting periods begin when the purchaser visits Shoot Point Blank and completes the required Federal and State paperwork. Waiting periods do not begin when the firearm is paid for on-line or when the firearm is shipped.

Firearms Transfer Fees are as follows:

Private Party to Private Party: $25.00

FFL Transfer of a firearm we DO NOT have in stock: $35.00

FFL Transfer of a firearm we DO have in stock: $50.00 (Check our inventory and prices before you order or buy).

HOW DOES THE FFL TRANSFER WORK?

  1. We will exchange FFL information with the original firearm dealer and the dealer will ship to our Best Shot location.
  2. We will contact you when the firearm has been checked in by our receiving department. (Do not call us if you get a delivery notification).
  3. You will need to complete an ATF Form 4473 for the necessary background check. You must be the original purchaser.
  4. You will be charged the transfer fee PER FIREARM.
  5. No Class III transfers.
