Audience
This course is designed for women who are new to shooting handguns or are interested in developing the skills necessary to purchase and safely handle firearms. This course would also be helpful for women that owns a gun but needs to refresh his/her skills.
Course Description
Handgun I is intended to teach all the fundamentals of handgun shooting starting at the ground level and culminating in a 25 round live fire shoot. We will cover the universal safety rules to safely handle firearms. We’ll also introduce the basics of pistol shooting including grip, stance, sight picture, and trigger press.

- Understand the universal safety rules
- Understand how to render a handgun safe
- Understand the basics of handgun ammunition
- Understand sight picture, sight alignment and trigger press
What to Bring
Firearm and ammunition
- Handguns and 25 rounds of ammunition are included in the course price but we encourage you to bring your own
* Please remember that weapons for class or to be fired on our range are to be brought in unloaded and in a case.
Equipment
All Equipment is included:
- Rental Firearm if you don’t have your own
- Target
- Hearing and eye protection for use during live fire
