Audience
This course is designed for handgun shooters that want to advance beyond basic marksmanship into shooting with defensive accuracy.
Course Description
In this course, we will build on the shooting fundamentals learned in the previous courses in the Basic Handgun Track. We will investigate the balance between shooting with precision and shooting with speed focusing on point shooting with only flash sight picture. We will also introduce shooting multiple shoots with proper trigger reset and shooting with movement.
Prerequisites
- Basic Handgun 2
- Best Shot CCDW Class, or
- approval of a Best Shot instructor

- Reinforce the universal safety rules
- Reinforce the fundamentals of handgun shooting
- Introduce shooting with movement
- Introduce the balance of speed and precision in shooting
- Introduce point shooting with flash sight picture
- Introduce shooting multiple shots
What to Bring
Firearm and ammunition
- 100 rounds of ammunition
- Handgun and at least two magazines
- Handguns and ammunition are available for rental and purchase at the range desk.

- Eye and ear protection
- Eye/Ear protection is available for rent at the range desk
